DIE AUSNAHME, EPISODE III – DAS ENDE DER HELDEN

Ballhaus Naunynstraße

Production Details / Press Releases

“Time is all, man is nothing more, he is at most the embodiment of time.” Karl Marx

Always higher, wider and faster. In times of the Internet, everyone has faster access to everything and everyone around the world. The dictation of tempo is omnipresent. What is the effect on the individual? How does our contemporary work and life impact our perception of time? What are the priorities in such an accelerated society? As the conclusion of the trilogy THE EXCEPTION, EPISODE III – THE END OF THE HEROES accompanies the couple from the two previous episodes, but at the same time stands for themselves. The two enter into a fantastic comic-like reality, in which the absurdity of our perception of time becomes noticeable.

Mercedes Appugliese was born in 1979 in Mendoza (Argentina). There she studied classical dance and belonged 1996-2000 of the ballet company “University Nacional of Cuyo” under the direction of Genoveva Sagés and Héctor Cavallini. In Buenos Aires, she studied contemporary dance and tango, and from 2002-2006 she was part of the dance company “Tangokinesis” directed by Ana María Stekelman. She has lived in Berlin since 2007 and has worked in the company of Toula Limnaios, the dance company Rubato and Christoph Winkler.

Florian Bilbao was born in 1979 in Libourne, France. He received his training as a dancer in Montpellier (among others with Anne-Marie Porras) and Angers (center national de danse contemporaine). Since 2002 he has been living in Berlin and is working a lot in the outdoor scene. Since 2003 he has also conceived his own work as a choreographer. Currently, he is featured in Never Forever by Falk Richter and Total Brutal at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz.
