Production Details / Press Releases

Migration, a journey over a great distance. Reaching towards the other side with the whole body and mind until you arrive. Reaching and reaching with both terror and wonder of the unknown despite the heaviness of the body. The act of migration is by nature complex, involving various layers of physicality and emotion. “Miscanthus and Blackbird” explores this sensation of being compelled to make a journey towards the other, while allowing hesitation, and even fear, to play a part. We make a journey, reaching out towards the unknown with utmost trust and hopes that the other end will turn out to be accommodating and loving.
