‘Shrine’ is a dance performance installation that investigates the design and action of ritual, ceremony and veneration. Through the construction of a re-invented temple of offering, a choreographic ceremony combining the elements of sound, light, body and object will take place. Questioning the symbolic figures of ancestor, idol, saint and daemon, ‘Shrine’ draws upon the human collective power of awe and respect for the sacred.
