Do you eat differently when nobody is watching?
Do you miss being a child?
Can we re-learn to let go of social boundaries?
Do we ever grow up?
We give ourselves to the idea of satisfaction. The impossibility of total satisfaction gives rise to dance impulses and fictitious narratives that look back on the memory of one’s own childhood and question the adult ego. An ensemble of six dancers sets out in search of their very own needs. Satisfaction becomes a personal place of longing that holds secrets about ourselves. The Idea of Satisfaction is an invitation to a children’s birthday party, a sweet seduction, a colourful game.
NINA BURKHARDT studied dance at Tanzakademie balance 1. She works with naked_pink, a photographic project on positive female body images, and is part of the dance collective UGG.
