Als Ergebnis des Spiels mit Klängen und Worten, eine imaginäre Steinfigur entsteht: Glorious George der jüdische Wasserspeier. Getreu der Philosophie „Lieben Sie es oder lassen Sie es“ Ich entscheide mich, es den Titel eines Tanzstücks zu machen, und tanze darin selbst, allein. Von diesem Titel und in das Unbekannte beginnt eine Reise, in der die Hauptprinzipien sind: spielen, nebeneinandersetzen, bewegen, neugierig bleiben. Ein Improvisationsansatz für einen Schöpfungsprozess. Stift und Papier, Bewegungsimprovisation, Facebook, Videoaufnahmen, Fluchtmärkte: Diese Mittel helfen mir, meine Gedanken so zufällig und sinnlos zu begehen, wie sie zuerst scheinen. Das Endergebnis ist eine Collage von quesions in Worten, in Komposition und in Bewegung. Während ich zwischen diesen Fragen navigiere, sind einige der möglichen Bedeutungen von Glorious George der jüdische Wasserspeier offenbart.

Michael Shapira: Nachdem er sein Studium in Interaktionsdesign in Stockholm, Schweden, abgeschlossen hatte und dort als Webentwickler tätig war, wandte sich Michael dem Tanz und der Performance zu. Er studierte Improvisation in TIP, Freiburg, und setzte sein Studium und seine Praxis vor allem in Berlin fort. Seit seinem Abschluss in Freiburg hat er in improvisierten und choreographierten Stücke aufgeführt und eigene Performances kreiert. Einflußreiche Lehrer sind Lilo Stahl, Bernd Ka, Nancy Start Smith, Rosalind Crisp und Julyen Hamilton. Kerntanz Praktiken sind Kontakt Improvisation und Improvisation. Michael erleichtert derzeit eine offene Improvisationstraining für professionelle Tänzer in Berlin.

Lea Kieffer: Nach dem Studium der Sportwissenschaften in Strassburg, Frankreich, studierte Lea Improvisation in TIP, Freiburg. Lea arbeitete und trat als Tänzerin mit Choreografin Juha Marsalo und in Zusammenarbeit mit Oleg Kaufmann, Jasminka Stenz, Laura Heinecke und Flurin Kappenberger auf. Lea ist ein enthusiastischer und erfahrener Ansprechpartner, der in zahlreichen Kontaktfestivals in Europa und Israel mitgewirkt hat. Lea hat auch ein eigenes Label von selbstgefertigten Kleidern und arbeitet als Kostümentwurf und künstlerische Assistentin für Adrianna Cubides in Wien.

As a result of playing with sounds and words, an imagined stone figure emerges: Glorious George the Jewish Gargoyle. True to the philosophy „Love it or leave it“ I decide to make it the title of a dance piece, and dance in it myself, alone. From this title and into the unknown, a journey begins in which the key principals are: play, juxtapose, move, stay curious. An improvisational approach applied to a creation process. Pen and paper, movement improvisation, Facebook, video recording, flee markets: these means help me to commit to my ideas, as random and meaningless as they may first seem. The end result is a collage of quesions in words, in composition and in movement. As I navigate between these questions, some of the possible meanings of Glorious George the Jewish Gargoyle are revealed.

Lea Kieffer: After finishing her university studies in Sport Science in Strassburg, France, Lea studied improvisation in TIP, Freiburg.
