Elke Rindfleisch

Adele tries again

Production Details / Press Releases

Adele tries again, for two dancers and one musician is a new work by choreographer Elke Rindfleisch and composer Chris Woltmann. Elements and structures of storytelling are spread among dance, video, spoken word and music. True autobiographical events and outright lies are spun into a ficticious life story made up of contradicting, impossible histories.

In leaving something behind over and over to go somewhere else, how does one handle the loss of the familiar? What are the physical effects of leaving, lying, and displacement? Episodes in the characters’ past and present, flashbacks, and vague memories are brought to life through movement, songs, and literal and allegorical text.
