Production Details / Press Releases

„I’ve made all the dances of this dance album as if I had made songs. These dances originate in personal experiences that had a strong emotional impact on me. I’ve composed them between September 2007 and April 2008, in hotel rooms or at home, whenever I was moody, angry, depressed, ecstatic, or in love.“ (Frédéric Gies)

Album (Praticable) uses two themes for the development of a new dance piece: the application of procedures for the creation and production of pop music and the mediation of emotions through the medium of dance. Or formulated in a completely different way, there is a work on how dance can act as a transmitter of emotions. Two presentation formats of a musical album serve as references: The project is realized as a DVD, which contains a number of dance scenes like a studio album recorded in the studio, as well as a live performance, the idea of the live concert of a singer on a dance piece . Visitors will receive the DVD album (Praticable) at the end of the dance concert.
