Kareth Schaffer wants to be a mover and shaker (and shake things up!), and she asks herself how achieve this. No wonder this BA graduate from the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin (HZT) is committed to cultural-political issues (“Artists pledge!”). We value her for this commitment, as we think it remains important for emerging artists to be invested in cultural politics.

“‘As Easy as 1, 2, 3’ explores the bare minimum needed to tell a story of love born and lost on the stage—a minimum amount of light (1 light on the floor) , a minimum amount of images (6 images), a minimum amount of time (3 minutes), and a minimum amount of movement.” -Kareth Schaffer

Video Documentation

The video documentation is produced on behalf of the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion. The purpose of this contract is to document productions in the field of contemporary dance in Berlin. The master recordings are archived by the University Library of the Berlin University of Arts. Copies of the recordings on DVD are available for viewing exclusively in the reference collections of the following archives (at media desks in these institutions):
