Assemblages is a dance / sound performance, which is the basis for the collection of objects and sounds during a two-month residence at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop on the Baltic Sea.

The objects are an integral part of sound, design and structure, they become the instrument, the score actions and interactions with them have been developed in order to create a visual, kinesthetic overall in combination with movement of sound in space. Assemblages invites the audience to engage in a visual, somatic-acoustic experience. Time-bound actions replaced the theatrical narrative. Part of the process was the search for subtle, sometimes explosive transformations to move from one action to another. How does this sound feel? How does this movement sound? When does this sound stop? When the movement? Where in the room does the sound sound?

The body is resonator. The observer is resonance. The space is resonance body. Objects become seamless to subjects and subjects to objects.

Dance will sound and sound will dance.

The charismatic artist Shannon Cooney understands the theater as a place of transformation. In a genre encompassing her embrace, she explores the connection between music, dance and object, and their physical and audible nature, together with the flutist and composer Sabine Vogel in the current installation performance. In this combination, assemblages can become an existential experience.

Assemblages ist eine Tanz-/Klang- Performance, der das Sammeln von Objekten und Klängen während einer 2-monatigen Residenz im Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop an der Ostsee zugrunde liegt.

Die Objekte, sind integraler Bestandteil von Klang, Design und Struktur, sie werden zum Instrument, zur Partitur Aktionen und Interaktionen mit ihnen wurden entwickelt auf Hinblick zu einem visuellen, kinästhetischen Gesamten in Kombination mit Bewegung von Klang im Raum. Assemblages lädt den Zuschauer ein sich auf eine visuelle, somatisch-akustische Erfahrung einzulassen. Zeitlich gebundene Aktionen ersetzten die theatralische Erzählweise. Teil des Prozesses war die Suche nach feinsinnigen, manchmal explosiven Transformationen, um von einer Aktion in eine andere zu wechseln. Wie fühlt sich dieser Klang an? Wie klingt diese Bewegung? Wann muss dieser Klang aufhören? Wann die Bewegung? Wo im Raum klingt der Ton nach?

Der Körper ist Resonator. Der Beobachter ist Resonanz. Der Raum ist Resonanzkörper. Objekte werden nahtlos zu Subjekten und Subjekte zu Objekten.

Tanz wird Klang und Klang wird Tanz.
