Sechzehn Hände sind die Protagonisten von bodieSLANGuage. Sie nehmen Verbindung auf, erschaffen Welten, kommunizieren miteinander, sind fremd, sind Freund, stiften Sinn und driften wieder auseinander. bodieSLANGuage erforscht den Slang der Körper. In einer Verbindung von zeitgenössischem Tanz, Gebärdensprache und Gesten aus Popkultur und Alltag erproben drei Choreographen mit teils gehörlosen Performern die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten der Hände.

Ausgangspunkt der Performance sind Sprachen und Slangs der Performer aus acht Ländern. Sie übersetzen Musik und Klang durch Körper- und Gebärdensprache in physischen Ausdruck. Ihre Gebärden, Gesten und Mimik führen über Zitate, Aneignung, Miss- und Unverständnis schließlich zu einer neuen Kommunikation.

bodieSLANGuage ist eine Tanzproduktion des Choreographen-Duos matanicola (Nicola Mascia und Matan Zamir) und des Performancekünstlers und Gebärdendolmetschers Gal Naor (the progressive wave), die erstmalig für dieses interdisziplinäre Tanzprojekt zusammen arbeiten.
