CARDIAC. The Heart is a Muscle

Uferstudios

Production Details / Press Releases

In the captivating brutalist sports club, robed in heart-shaped paraphernalia and marinating in pop-songs… that is CARDIAC. The Heart is a Muscle. If a computer program could speak, it would probably say, “Oops I Did it again, I played with your heart, got lost in the game…” The game? An endurance-based performance. The heart? That of performer, Katrina E. Bastian, whose heartbeat is shared in realtime and manipulated by a computer program. The performance delves into the fetishization of effort, reshaping love from a mere battlefeld to a cardio session. CARDIAC. The Heart is a Muscle is a rendezvous with the heart now conveniently available for purchase!
