In code of engagement, Hea Min Jung embarks on a spiritual journey that transcends conventional perceptions of time, space, and the body. Set within an immersive installation that combines geometric patterns of elastic lines with multi-dimensional layers of sound, the performance evokes a dynamic experience – unique to each person and in constant flux. As sound, sculpture, and movement resonate within the space, a new perception of physical forms and their interrelations emerges. Within this fragmented yet vibrant environment, Hea Min Jung deconstructs and reimagines the human body: toes move like tongues, elbows replace ears, and knees listen. Conventional notions of human anatomy and the self are subverted. The resulting choreography is simultaneously chaotic, minimalistic and surreal, invoking primal instincts and subconscious connections. In the process, the audience becomes part of the performance heightening their awareness of their own subjective experiences and mental states and inviting them to engage on a deeply personal and existential level. code of engagement questions the limits of objective experience and human communication, favoring a world of imagination and change.
