Production Details / Press Releases
deep eye sea is about the ocean and the melting ice, with landscapes and habitats in which we are lost and well-kept at the same time.
“Through memories and research across various places, I encountered different perspectives on sea and water in its aggregate states. In my dance – from Phaselis via Ilulissat to Hamburg, above and under water – different stations, movements and video material interconnect. The work examines how human relationships with sea and ice can be expressed through and with the body: To what extent does the body become the site of these relationships? How can we open up towards a deeper listening to the Ocean and understanding of the conditions we are entangled in?”
