URBAN FEMINISM Gotcha!
As part of the ongoing project URBAN FEMINISM, ten young Berlin-based urban dance artists will present their short choreographic creations. Following a series of intensive workshop weekends with inspiring mentors Anne Nguyen, Raphael Moussa Hillebrand, Honji Wang and Kat Válastur, the female choreographers express their dis tinct styles and unique voices in eight solos and a duet.
Malika Lamwersiek is a dancer specialised in improvisation and movement research within the street dance styles hip hop, house, breaking and experimental. She travelled to New York, Paris and across Europe to exchange and perform with other hip hop artists. She has been part of various dance theatre projects and is a member of the female collective Walashé.
