“Every single day” is inspired by the myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus. The absurd is the tension between the irrelevance of the world on the one hand and the longing for a sense or a meaningful action. Sisyphus is a symbol of a life-feeling and throws us back to our perishable condition in our vulnerability as humans.

Camus has reinterpreted the myth – he has drawn a man who is heavily burdened by the burden of his task but who finds meaning and even happiness in the permanent monotony of his everyday life.

Like Sisyphos, the performers are involved in actions that seem futile-not because they want it, but because they are unable to get out of it. In a time loop of recurring movements with slight, almost imperceptible changes, the situation escalates and inevitably leads to the outbreak, which enables a possible resolution to be reached. Everything seems to be immersed in a lost timelessness … – an emotional feeling, captured in images that are as bizarre as poetic.

“Every single day” is a choreography of contemplation, a poetic consideration of the persistently growing suspicion of the absurd. It pushes everyday situations to the limit of the sur-real and makes deeply human characteristics appear there.
