The work “Forming Forms Formless” is a project researching on communication and it’s conclusions for a social coexistence as well as on cultural imprint and it’s origins which cannot be traced back. This is presented in the form of brainstorming but not only which could lead to more brainstorming in case of suitable communication leading to suitable conclusions caused by a suitable cultural imprint being way too far from it’s origins, what are these anyway? A work about the necessity for facades caused by the necessity for form realization and about the limits of empathy for it.

Alexandra Vasilieva, born in St. Petersburg, lives since childhood in Berlin. Currently she studies stage design and performance at UdK Berlin and visits many dance classes. At the moment her works deal among other things with questions about complexity, the breaking down of complexity, origin, authenticity and the shifting between perception levels. She works a lot with the moving body in combination with words and digital media since she assumes this collage-like mingling allows her to approach the themes with greater openness.
