Things are changing. The atmosphere changes because humor changes. All the time, something is growing and dies, withering and blossoming. No matter what comes, the seasons change. We are running away from the fact that we have to submit.

Nature is a reference point to which we return and after which we plan our holidays. Nature is the guardian of public order.

What are manifestations of culture that come from the “low levels” of nature? We build roads, shelters and nurture the body. How does culture control biological functions and slow down physiological processes?

IZA SZOSTAK is a dancer, choreographer and graduate of the ballet school in Warsaw and of Codarts, Rotterdam. Iza works with Michael Schumacher, Amy Raymond, Krisztina de Chatel, Felix Ruckert and Anna Holter + Company. In 2010 she took part in the project Let’s Dance Chopin with the choreography of Marysia Stoklosa and created her own solo choreographies (Karmi-go, Feedback and Grandpa-Go).

STARY BROWAR NOWY TANIEC AT THE TANZTAGE BERLIN

As in the past two years, an artist from the Soloproject Poznan, the first Polish residence program for young scholars, will also be shown at TANZTAGE BERLIN. From this program, Iza Szostak is presented with her production FROM CULTURE TO NATURE.

The second Polish production is RECONSTRUCTION by Joanna Leśnierowska (choreographer and founder of the solo project Poznan) in the festival program. In collaboration with Aleksandra Borys, Łukasz Kędzierski and Janusz Orlik, a piece about the visibility of subconscious images and structures of collectivity emerged.

Dinge verändern sich. Die Atmosphäre verändert sich, weil sich auch der Humor verändert. Die ganze Zeit wächst und stirbt irgendetwas, verwelkt und erblüht. Egal was kommt, die Jahreszeiten wechseln. Wir laufen vor der Tatsache weg, dass wir uns fügen müssen.

Die Natur ist ein Bezugspunkt, zu dem wir zurückkehren und nach der wir unseren Urlaub planen. Die Natur ist die Wächterin der öffentlichen Ordnung.

Welches sind Manifestationen der Kultur, die aus den “niedrigen Ebenen” der Natur stammen? Wir bauen Straßen, Unterkünfte und pflegen den Körper. Wie steuert die Kultur biologische Funktionen und verlangsamt physiologische Vorgänge?

IZA SZOSTAK ist Tänzerin, Choreografin und Absolventin der Ballettschule Warschau und von Codarts, Rotterdam. STARY BROWAR NOWY TANIEC ZU GAST BEI TANZTAGE BERLIN

Wie in den letzten beiden Jahren wird auch im Festival 2012 wieder eine Künstlerin des Soloproject Poznan, das erste polnische Residenzprogramm für Nachwuchschoreografen, im Rahmen der TANZTAGE BERLIN zu sehen sein. Aus diesem Programm wird Iza Szostak mit ihrer Produktion FROM CULTURE TO NATURE präsentiert.

Als zweite polnische Produktion ist RECONSTRUCTION von Joanna Leśnierowska (Choreografin und Gründerin des Solo Project Poznan) im Festivalprogramm. In der Zusammenarbeit mit Aleksandra Borys, Łukasz Kędzierski und Janusz Orlik enstand ein Stück über das Sichtbarmachen unterbewusster Bilder und Strukturen von Kollektivität.
