Production Details / Press Releases
About the moments in which a crack runs through our carefree security; in which we have lost confidence in a familiar gesture, a confident step and familiar movement. Perhaps we have experienced something unsettling. Perhaps we are grieving. Perhaps we have been abandoned. But perhaps we are no longer wanted where we are. Because the space in which we thought we were safe is no longer our space. These are delicate moments of complete strangeness, extreme moments of lost sovereignty, which this choreographic work traces. And we experience how delicately the threads between self, body and world are woven. And how quickly they tear.
Cooperativa Maura Morales is a contemporary dance company from Düsseldorf that has succeeded for many years in consolidating the focus of its artistic work in Germany while continuously expanding its international reach. The core artistic ensemble around choreographer and dancer Maura Morales and composer Michio Woirgardt is expanded with additional artists and dancers depending on the production concept. The productivity and resonance of the Cooperativa is reflected in a high volume of national and international tours as well as numerous invitations to guest choreographies for municipal and state theatres and other ensembles.
