What is a landscape? Where does it begin and where does it end?
What is a body?
Do body and landscape have something in common?
Is the body a landscape, is it part of the landscape or is it separated from it?

I lift my right arm until he points out of my shoulder.
The direction in which my arm points, forms a horizontal line through the space. It starts at my shoulder and ends at the left corner of the window, in the opposite part of the room. My upright body is, besides the pillars and walls, another vertical in the room.

I roll my body along the wall. Slowly. My body touches the wall, the wall touches my body. Impression is impression. Do I push myself into the wall or push the wall into me?

I’m looking at the audience. I am quite still. Listen.
Behind me the room. In front of me the room. About me. In me.

Outside the door between the paving stones, in some places dandelion grows. Not far from it is a canal. There are many people in the summer.

In her solo “Into / Out of Landscape”, Claudia Garbe examines the landscapes between the body, the space and the audience. The variability of these landscapes is associated with the shifting of attention.

Was ist eine Landschaft? Wo fängt sie an und wo hört sie auf?
Was ist ein Körper?
Haben Körper und Landschaft etwas gemeinsam?
Ist der Körper eine Landschaft, ist er Teil der Landschaft oder ist er von ihr getrennt?

Ich hebe meinen rechten Arm bis er ausgestreckt auf Schulterhöhe von mir weist.
Die Richtung, in die mein Arm zeigt, bildet eine horizontale Linie durch den Raum. Sie beginnt an meiner Schulter und endet an der linken Fensterecke, im mir gegenüber liegenden Teil des Raums. Mein aufrecht stehender Körper ist, neben den Säulen und Wänden, eine weitere Vertikale im Raum.

Ich rolle meinen Körper an der Wand entlang. Langsam. Mein Körper berührt die Wand, die Wand berührt meinen Körper. Abdruck ist Eindruck. Drücke ich mich in die Wand oder drückt die Wand sich in mich?

Vor dem Publikum liegend werde ich angeschaut. Ich bin ganz still. Höre.
Hinter mir der Raum. Vor mir der Raum. Um mich. In mir.

Draußen vor der Tür zwischen den Pflastersteinen wächst an manchen Stellen Löwenzahn. Unweit davon befindet sich ein Kanal. Im Sommer sitzen dort viele Menschen.

In ihrem Solo „Into / Out of Landscape“ untersucht Claudia Garbe jene Landschaften, die zwischen Körper, Raum und Zuschauern entstehen. Dabei steht die Veränderlichkeit dieser Landschaften in Verbindung mit der Verschiebung von Aufmerksamkeiten.
