Colombian dancer and choreographer Gabriel Galindez Cruz shows with “Invisible” his new performance-work, which will have its premiere at Plataforma.

Gabriel was born in 1977 in Cali, Colombia. Dance studies at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers and at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. Gabriel has danced in pieces of Dominique Dupuy, Alvaro Restrepo, Carmen Werner, Dieter Heitkamp, Toula Limnaios, Wilhelmgroener and Edan Gorlicky. Since 2005 he works with Sasha Waltz & Guests (“Gezeiten”, “Medea”, “Dialoge 09 Neues Museum”,”Metamorphosen” among others). During the season 2009-2010 he formed part of the dance ensemble of the Theater St. Gallen in Switzerland, directed by Marco Santi. Together with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Gabriel performs regulary the piece “4 Elements 4 Seasons” of Juan Kruz Diaz de Garaio Esnaola. Since 2007 he’s the artistic director of the Chidren Dance Company of Sasha Waltz & Guests. As a choreographer, Gabriel has created “Pre-escencia” (2007) “Marca”, “Solo” and “Duo” (2008), “AIUAIO” (Collective 2009), “Hidden Tracks” (Collective 2011).

Jorgos was born 34 years ago in the greek capital. He studied theatre and dance in Athens and Amsterdam. He worked with different choreographers and directors like Wim Vandekeybus, Romeo Castelucci, Felix Ruckert and Tomi Paasonen. In 2009 he won with his company “Wie es Euch fehlt” the first prize in Berlin’s theatre Festival, 100°. He is a certified yoga instructor and works in this field since 2007. He also facilitates selfdevelopment workshops with emphasis in the meeting point between sexuality and spirituality. He hopes that before he dies he will have lived in at least one country of each continent of this planet.
