LOST WITH YOU
Escape Room / Movement / Sound / Light

Lost with you transforms the theater into a gentle and safe escape room where the atmosphere of movement, light and sound allows you to immerse yourself, come to rest and relax.

The space, dark and soft, a faint glow symbolizing hope; people gathered to breathe, observe and let go. Lost with you transforms the theater into a gentle, safe escape room:

For one hour, you are invited to relax and step out.
Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of movement, light and sound.
Take a seat wherever you want, just be there, rest, with me, yourself and the space.

The visuals, the dynamics and the energies of the moving body in Lost with you let the audience discover a hidden realm of their existence and experience the invisible drive behind all moving forces.

For the soundtrack by Tony Birch, a stretched piano and the voice of Sita Ostheimer were re-recorded in a concrete reverberation chamber. Space and time become the main instruments of the composition, while the original piano and voice recede into the background.

After her graduation from the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt in 2001, Sita became a member of MS Schrittmacher at the Staatstheater near Oldenburg, worked with Itzik Galili in Groningen and Krisztina de Chatel in Amsterdam. In 2008 she joined Hofesh Shechter Company and worked with him as a dancer, workshop leader and choreographic assistant until 2018. She re-staged his work at companies such as NDT I, Paris Opera Ballet, Ballet Basel, Staatsballett Berlin, Aterballetto Italy, Hessisches Staatsballett Wiesbaden and Staatstheater Kassel.
As a freelance choreographer she created commissioned works for Frontier Danceland Singapore, Hessisches Staatsballett Wiesbaden, Bodhi Project Sead Salzburg, CobosMika Spain and Verve Leeds, as well as for universities such as Folkwang University Essen and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Since 2017 she has been working with her Berlin-based company Sita Ostheimer Company, which works with guest dancers and a permanent group of composers, lighting designers and visual artists. With her company she has created works such as Molimo, Chasm, Us, Two, Human in pieces and Everything that’s left. Her works have been performed at Fuori Programma Festival Rome, Bolzano Danza, Festival Aperto Reggio Emilia, Daegu International Dance Festival Korea, Španski Borci Cultural Center Ljubljana, Deltebre Dansa Spain and at DOCK 11 Berlin.
Sita recently won an artist award for her work in Berlin. She shares her artistic practice and philosophy worldwide in her workshop series COMPLEX SIMPLICITY.
