“Maquillage au passé” ist der erste Teil einer Folge von Performances, die Vincent Bozek zusammen mit und für den Tänzer Orlando Rodríguez und den Kontrabassisten Simon Bauer inszeniert. “Maquillage” basiert auf Repetitionen in Bewegung und Klang und erkundet die Art, wie Menschen sich ein Aussehen erschaffen.
Dieser erste Teil stellt Figuren der Representation und der musikalischen Ausführung dar, die man als Echo aus der Vergangenheit sieht und hört.

Rodríguez umhüllt den Körper mit seinem eigenen Körper, während Bauer eine Folge von Klangfrequenzen definiert, die den Geist einladen, in eine meditative Nostalgie einzutauchen. Gehalten von einem einfachen improvisatorischen Rahmen bilden die beiden Darsteller eine Koexistenz auf der Bühne.

Die Performance-Serie “Maquillage” findet im Februar 2014 im ada Studio im Rahmen der Reihe NAH DRAN (“Maquillage au passé”) und im HAU 2 im Rahmen des 100º Festivals (“Maquillage au présent”) statt.

Vincent Bozek (Frankreich) ist Choreograf, Tänzer, Dramaturg und Lehrer. Er hat mit Regisseuren wie S. Akika und G. Civera zusammengearbeitet. In seinen Werken beschäftigt er sich mit dem Konzept des Individuums: Welche Elemente machen unsere Selbstwahrnehmung aus? Sein Forschungshintergrund sind die Geisteswissenschaften – in Kombination mit zeitgenössischem Tanz (Folkwang Hochschule Essen) und Performancekunst (Extensions, CDC Toulouse). Er lebt in Berlin.

Orlando Rodriguez (Venezuela) ist Absolvent des Instituto Universitario de Danza in Caracas und der Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. Er lebt in Berlin, arbeitet als freiberuflicher Performer und Choreograf jedoch in ganz Europa, u.a. mit Mouvoir/Stephanie Thiersch und Sasha Waltz & Guests.

Simon Bauer (Deutschland) wurde 1980 geboren. Er studierte Kontrabass in Berlin und beschäftigt sich mit Improvisation und Komposition. Mit Hans Unstern baut er Instrumente für dessen Konzerte.
