Production Details / Press Releases
The research project explores the intersection of personal experience, colonialism, labor, and identity through the lens of a delivery worker in Berlin. Balancing full-time work and studies, the researcher integrates their daily routine into their artistic process, using moments of transit for reflection and creation.
Influenced by postcolonial thinkers and existential philosophy, the work blends personal narratives with broader theoretical concepts. The project seeks to communicate directly, embracing physicality as a source of inspiration. Ultimately, it highlights the transformative power of interdisciplinary exploration and personal storytelling in understanding complex societal issues.
Lucas Godoi is a performer from Brazil, currently based in Berlin. He initially studied hip-hop and pedagogy, and his academic background includes a degree in Performing Arts and Brazilian pedagogy. Lucas is now a recent BA Dance, Context, and Choreography graduate at HZT Berlin. For the past eight years, he has been researching how to support young students in vulnerable social and economic situations. His work focuses on reflecting on the current political scenario and safety in unstructured neighborhoods, such as favelas, through both theoretical and practical dance classes.
