NORMEN, NORMEN, NORMEN!

TANZKOMPLIZEN | Schillertheater-Werkstatt

Production Details / Press Releases

To behave differently than everyone else, brings with it a lot of resistance. Those who are “different” are against the norm. But who determines which rules and conventions dominate everyday life? For example, how does one behave in the playground or in the teacher’s room – are there unspoken or even very clear codes that everyone sticks to?

It takes strength and maximum openness to question these norms and develop your own standards. In his play, Niels “Storm” Robitzky addresses the self-esteem of young people in a value system that they can help shape. With a group of hip-hop artists, he performs everyday situations to confront them in a radically “different” way.
