Production Details / Press Releases
We want to experiment and share an Odyssey ‘complex’. Not a ‘reprise’, or an actualisation of the myth, but an exploration of this endless object with what anyone has intimate and infinite connections. We started by this personal relation, and extended this in the creation of a multiple organism that would continue its travel from the original story to our translations, from the spoken word to the language of body and images, from our multimedia stage to the complex and unique mind of each spectator. We did not try to ‘solve’, even to understand the Odyssey, but only to stand on it: to confront with what makes our attraction/repulsion towards its terrifying beauty and hugeness that, with a blink of an eye, transform the daily landscape in a world strongly connected with animality, gods, sexuality, energies of the cosmos and depths of the unconscious. This is where we met, confronting our respective approaches (choreographic, sonorous, filmic, philosophical…) in order to let appear a ‘new memory’. This is where we invite you now, to join, with your multilayered presence, our Odyssey complex.
