Production Details / Press Releases

This is a work about love as a physical and mental activity. It draws from lateral ways of thinking and making love to fantasize about the politics of tenderness and desire.

ANIA NOWAKS main interests are currently centered around time economies in choreography and love as a practice of improvisation. Her work has been presented a.o. in Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Poznan. She collaborated with Martin Hansen and worked for the opening ceremony of the 1st European Games 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Ania is a recipient of DanceWeb at Impuls Tanz Festival 2014 and a graduate from language studies in Cracow and choreography at HZT Berlin.

JULIA RODRIGUEZ, choreographer and performer living and working in Berlin. Her ongoing interest is to reevaluate spaces and ways of working that can display relevant concerns linked to socio-economical aspects of the art practice. Her work has been presented in Berlin, Montpellier and Amsterdam. She has worked for Isabelle Schad, Kareth Schaffer, Philipp Enders, and Christian Falsnaes among others. Julia was a recipient of DanceWeb scholarship in 2014 and graduated from HZT Berlin.

XENIA TANIKO DWERTMANN received her BA in politics and philosophy in Leipzig and is now studying at HZT in Berlin. In her choreographic works she is interested in relationships and how they are differently invented, evoked and experienced. Xenia is a member of Female trouble and organizes discursive events (Vulva Club). In her work Somatheque she analysis the relationship between body and material. Xenia is working for Agata Siniarska, Hana Lee Erdman, Julian Weber and Deufert&Plischke.

Video Documentation

The video documentation is produced on behalf of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe. The purpose of this contract is to document productions in the field of contemporary dance in Berlin. The master recordings are archived by the University Library of the Berlin University of Arts.
