Production Details / Press Releases
As the loud female trio PunkDrumLove, Johanna Lemke, dancer Eli Cohen and drummer Almut Lustig chase from climax to climax. All states of exaggerated demands are allowed; giving up is not an option.
Punk, drums and bodies expose themselves to each other in extremes; they correspond to the depths of human relationships, be they long-lasting love affairs, friendships or social relationships. This also reflects the excessive demands of the brutal chaos of the current global political situation. Noise meets silence. The contradiction between freedom and solidarity in an honest encounter.
PunkDrumLove pours love over violence. Molecules of love merge in the beat of the roaring world. Eli Cohen, Almut Lustig and Johanna Lemke enter the ring as gladiators and together push themselves to their physical limits. They invent a utopian space of awakening out of confusion and realise that we are capable of learning.
