Production Details / Press Releases
„Querandí“ is the curious, sensual search for femine energy and a common ground of latin american and indigenous roots. In their first shared choreography Maria Colusi and Florencia Lamarca find an expressive dialogue on the depth of their heritage, on shared rhythms of emotion and the power of nature. Both dancer’s vulnerability and selfconcious strength are embedded into the audiovisual installation of Edgardo Rudnitzky: Dropping water sets the rhythm and the stage, lets time and space become alive. Water is a basic border line, generator of life, connector and purifying element – its sounds are the seeds for the live, metallic and contrasting composition.
Maria Colusi and Florencia Lamarca share more then ten years of stage experience with Sasha Waltz & Guests. In „Querandí“ this dancer’s intimacy is enhanced with „energia latina“ and the body images of their personal, common understanding as latin american artists and women. www.mariacolusi.com
