JOANNA LEŚNIEROWSKA has been directing the first Polish dance venue Stary Browar / Old Brewery in Poznan since 2004, where she shows avant-garde international choreographers and supports Polish dance-makers in their development. As an artistic mentor, Joanna works in the SOLO PROJECT residency program and works as a dramaturge and performer in various Polish and international projects.

JANUSZ ORLIK studied dance at the State Ballet School in Warsaw and the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. He is a founding member of the company x.IDA (Austria), who presented international pieces by Olga Cobos, Peter Mika, Catherine Guérin, Rebekka Murgi, Nicole Caccivio and Charlotte Vincent. Since 2002, Janusz has been with the Vincent Dance Theater (UK). He presented his own choreographic works in various Polish and international competitions and theaters. He also worked with “towarzystwo gimnastyczne” and Nigel Charnock. In 2011 he choreographed the rite of spring_ in Poznan.

ANNA NOWICKA is a dancer, choreographer, pedagogue and psychologist. She is currently studying the Master’s degree in choreography at HZT Berlin. Apart from her participation in dance / theater productions in Poland and elsewhere as well as her work with Anna Godowska, Przemyslaw Wasilkowski, Malakline, Dragana Alfirevic and Peter Pleyer, she continues to develop her own pieces (eg the truth is just a plain picture. Or the current: incomplete tales of several journeys, premiere at the beach studios in Berlin).

STARY BROWAR NOWY TANIEC AT THE TANZTAGE BERLIN

As in the past two years, an artist from the Soloproject Poznan, the first Polish residence program for young scholars, will also be shown at TANZTAGE BERLIN. From this program, Iza Szostak is presented with her production FROM CULTURE TO NATURE.

The second Polish production is RECONSTRUCTION by Joanna Leśnierowska (choreographer and founder of the solo project Poznan) in the festival program. In collaboration with Aleksandra Borys, Łukasz Kędzierski and Janusz Orlik, a piece about the visibility of subconscious images and structures of collectivity emerged.

Seit 2002 ist Janusz beim Vincent Dance Theatre (UK). Eigene choreographische Arbeiten zeigte er in verschiedenen polnischen und internationalen Wettbewerben und Theatern. Er arbeitete außerdem mit “towarzystwo gimnastyczne” und Nigel Charnock. 2011 choreografierte er the rite of spring_ in Poznan.

ANNA NOWICKA ist Tänzerin, Choreografin, Pädagogin und Psychologin. Aktuell studiert sie den Masterstudiengang Choreografie am HZT Berlin. Abgesehen von ihrer Mitarbeit in Tanz-/Theaterproduktionen in Polen und andernorts sowie ihrer Arbeit mit Anna Godowska, Przemyslaw Wasilkowski, Mala Kline, Dragana Alfirevic und Peter Pleyer entwickelt sie weiterhin ihre eigenen Stücke (z. B. the truth is just a plain picture. said bob. 2010, oder aktuell: incomplete tales of several journeys, Premiere in den Uferstudios in Berlin).

STARY BROWAR NOWY TANIEC ZU GAST BEI TANZTAGE BERLIN

Wie in den letzten beiden Jahren wird auch im Festival 2012 wieder eine Künstlerin des Soloproject Poznan, das erste polnische Residenzprogramm für Nachwuchschoreografen, im Rahmen der TANZTAGE BERLIN zu sehen sein. Aus diesem Programm wird Iza Szostak mit ihrer Produktion FROM CULTURE TO NATURE präsentiert.

Als zweite polnische Produktion ist RECONSTRUCTION von Joanna Leśnierowska (Choreografin und Gründerin des Solo Project Poznan) im Festivalprogramm. In der Zusammenarbeit mit Aleksandra Borys, Łukasz Kędzierski und Janusz Orlik enstand ein Stück über das Sichtbarmachen unterbewusster Bilder und Strukturen von Kollektivität.
