Production Details / Press Releases
“Saturday Sunday” is a performance that suggests an imaginary period. In a cold, almost frozen environment, a single dancer seems to be floating disoriented. Eerie and soft sounds form the space, the movements are edited and distorted, they are delayed and break off. It is a sphere in which incoherent things are knotted together and appearances begin in different directions, the frames of reference are fragmented, inaccurate, blurring into each other. The familiar blends with the next step or the wish of a memory and the idea of it or what just was. Here, awareness of observation and a constant correction throws a veil-like texture over the movements, which interrupt themselves in the search for heaviness and friction.
