I think that you are a very interesting person. So I decided to use the chance to get to know you but there is simply not enough time to convince you of anything. With this in mind – consider that there is nothing between us but a fleeting bundle of perceptions. All we can do is stare until the only question that remains is, which side of the mirror are you on? M. S. Gudjonsdottir
Choreographer Margret Sara Gudjonsdottir and dancer Johanna Chemnitz, accompanied by texts by Gordon Spragg based on internet spam, confront the idea of the Self to tear down the fabric of what separates the subject from the gaze. After When I say bad I mean seriously hip (2006), Dead Meat (2007) and Blonde on Beige (2009/10), Soft Target is the fourth in a series of four projects that deal with the powerful, rigid, relatively empty and confusing facades of the stereotypical. The project serves as a multimedia commentary, using images and known stereotypical looks as a weapon to portray something else then their banality.
