spills are spells that don’t trust the distance

NAH DRAN extended: MISSED PIECES II | ada Studio in den Uferstudios

Production Details / Press Releases

“spills are spells that don’t trust the distance” explores relationships between images, touch and space. How can the gap become a medium for connection? Let’s assume that space is never empty but a pool of experiences and that experiences are landscapes (inviting you to look, to touch or to breath in). Look at the landscape between the movements, the sounds, the words, between us. What you are looking at is already inside you. You spilled it.

Susanne Grau works as a dancer, performer and choreographer and currently lives in Berlin. She studied contemporary dance at the HfMT in Cologne and the MA “Performing arts practice and visual culture” in Madrid. In 2015 she received the danceWEB scholarship of the ImpulsTanz Festival Vienna. She has worked with Alexandra Pirici, Fabrice Mazliah, Rocio Marano, Adriana Gheorghe, Mårten Spångberg, Davis Freeman, Özlem Alkis, Choy Ka Fai, Maayan Danoch, Prue Lang, May Zarhy, Juana del Mar Jimenez Infante, Reut Shemesh, among others.
