Bach for cello, beatbox and dance

Music as a moving, large sounding building, an architectural work of art in which the currents and formations in space create patterns, relationships, shades, and characters of all kinds, like a virtual space built from sound and movement; so in the SUITE CUBIC 3 arts deal with Johann Sebastian Bach’s suites for cello solo.

How would Bach be as a performance artist today? With the principle that music equals movement, equals noise, they develop a work for baroque cello, beatbox and dance with the material of the first two suites. It is essential that all 3 arts are used as equivalent instruments of a composition, i.e. a trio, which allows the compositional structure and polyphony of Bach’s compositions to appear completely new.

The SUITE CUBIC is the fourth single work in the series ImPuls der Suite, founded in 2015 by the baroque cellist Julia Kursawe, in cooperation with the German beatboxing master and vice world champion Daniel Mandolini and the multiple dance and choreography award winner Yui Kawaguchi.
