Eines Tages fand ich Musik aus einem kurzen Tanzstück, das ein Freund kreiert hatte. Sie setzte sich in meinem Kopf fest und ich wusste, dass ich irgendwann mit dieser Musik auch ein Tanzstück machen würde. Zunächst verschob ich diesen Gedanken jedoch.

Ich kenne sie aus einer Tanzklasse und wir sahen uns jeden Donnerstag. Jetzt nicht mehr. Sie ist nicht mehr da. Auch wenn das unser einziger Treffpunkt in unseren wöchentlichen Alltagsroutinen war, fand ich, dass wir eine Erfahrung teilen und irgendwie verbunden sind. Jetzt, nachdem sie uns verlassen hat, fiel mir auf, dass ich nichts über sie weiß. Ich begann mich zu fragen, was sie wohl an den anderen Wochentagen macht. Von ihr inspiriert, versuche ich mit “thursday” das einzufangen, was wir im Moment wahrnehmen und was nicht, darauf hoffend, dass diese persönliche Geschichte in meinem Körper und in meiner Choreografie landet.

Viel später erst erfuhr ich, dass der finnische Titel des Musikstücks “Reflektion” heißt.

Asayo Hisai studierte am Trinity LABAN Conservatoire of Music and Dance London, wo sie 2007 ihren Abschluss mit einem Diplom in Tanzwissenschaft machte. Seit 2009 arbeitet sie mit der Company JunJun SCIENCE unter der Leitung der Choreografin JunJun in Japan und international. Seit März 2013 lebt und arbeitet sie mit einem Stipendium der POLA Art Foundation (Japan) und unterstützt durch das Theaterhaus Berlin. Bei “10 times 6” im November 2013 präsentierte sie bereits eine Studie zu “thursday”.
