In tulle labyrinth, the choreographer and dancer Juan Gabriel Harcha gives an insight into a current research: Fascinated by the equally stable and fragile material tulle, he creates spatial situations that recall the peculiarity of a “labyrinthic” form by virtue of the monochrome material. The choreographic tulle research enters into dialogue with sounds and melodies, which developed together with the experimentalist Nikola Pieper.

Juan Garbiel Harcha is a dancer and sociologist. He studied drama and sociology at the Universidad Católica de Chile. Since then, he has conducted sociological research on innovation and strategies for imparting knowledge. In 2013, he completed the course “Dance, Context, Choreography” at HZT Berlin. He creates his own sketches for costumes and stage design, developed among others. The pieces three (2011) and gray, pink, blue (2013) and worked for a duo last year with the choreographer Maria F. Scaroni.

In Tulle Labyrinth gibt der Choreograf und Tänzer Juan Gabriel Harcha Einblicke in eine aktuelle Recherche: Fasziniert von dem ebenso stabilen wie fragilen Material Tüll, kreiert er anhand des monochromen Stoffes räumliche Situationen, die an das Eigentümliche einer “labyrinthischen” Form erinnern. Die choreografische Tüllrecherche tritt in Dialog mit Klängen und Melodien, die gemeinsam mit der Experimentalmusikerin Nikola Pieper entwickelte.

Juan Garbiel Harcha ist Tänzer und Soziologe. Er studierte Schauspiel und Soziologie an der Universidad Católica de Chile. Seitdem führte er soziologische Forschung zu Innovation und Strategien für die Vermittlung von Wissen durch. Im Jahr 2013 absolvierte er den Studiengang “Tanz, Kontext, Choreografie” am HZT Berlin. Er schafft eigene Skizzen für Kostüme und Bühnenbild, entwickelte u.a. die Stücke three (2011) und gray, pink, blue (2013) und arbeitete für ein Duo im vergangenen Jahr mit der Choreografin Maria F. Scaroni zusammen.
