Born within the rhythms of Música Tropical the performers re-visit there memories. As a reminiscence of their stories they review the Salsa and the Cumbia and there, the representation of gender roles. How biographical memory can be manifested in the body, and how we negotiate it a in a different environment?

Documentary Dance – Vier Skizzen aus der Realität
Four former Tanztage artists examine if the success of documentary theater can also inspire dance to take a new look at reality. In 15 minute long solos they try out various documentary work methods.

Video Documentation

The video documentation is produced on behalf of the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion. The purpose of this contract is to document productions in the field of contemporary dance in Berlin. The master recordings are archived by the University Library of the Berlin University of Arts. Copies of the recordings on DVD are available for viewing exclusively in the reference collections of the following archives (at media desks in these institutions):
