“UNDONE” is an improvised duo performance exploring various cardio states. Following a simple score, two bodies run for one hour with no audience present. Entering at the peak, the piece emerges from the unraveling of the post-collapse state. It is a dialogue between movement and sound, which cross into one another, blurring the lines between disciplines. Percussive structures crumble. Bodies enter into a meditative trance, pushing their pulses to the limit, allowing an abstract sonic and visual poem to occur where the intelligence of the heart is employed in search for ones intuition.
Lithuanian Agnė Auželytė is a performing artist, dancer and cook based in Berlin. Since 2012 Agnė has been part of various theatre, dance and interdisciplinary art creations performing across Europe, USA, India. She works solo and collaboratively with embodied improvisation, sound making, textiles as well as with food as a creative medium. Currently, Agnė is a cast member for “The School of Hard Knocks” directed by Yoshiko Chuma and working on experimental soundscapes with bands such as Otolitos, Dragons/Doyle and Vrouw! between Berlin and Amsterdam.
Stephen Doyle is a drummer, living and working in Amsterdam. His sounds are part of the creations of Dagora, 78rpm, Dragons/Doyle as well as occasional duo performances with Lisa Simpson (Agente Costura) and Aonghus McEvoy (of Woven Skull). As a drummer he combines the meditative effects of repetition with the refined skill of a misspent punk youth. This allows for a playful embrace of chaotic spontaneity to overlap with an artistic curiosity about the acoustic potential of space and architecture. Stephen has toured throughout Europe and beyond.
