Production Details / Press Releases
One person. Two bodies caught between childhood and adulthood: protection and vulnerability, oppression and liberation, desire and aversion, contempt and reverence, despair and hope. Clarity, focus and intensity of movement sequences show the body as an object, which becomes like a pendulum from one state to another while disclosing (forbidden) emotions. Abstract and narrative movements make the thin line between fantasy and reality visible. Focusing on the body creates an energy that blurs the line between intimacy/Private and Public. Jara Serrano’s work experience with renowned choreographers such as William Forsythe, Pierre Droulers and Colette Sadler gave her impetus for the development of her own projects. Therefore the present solo will be followed by a choreography for several dancers.
