Der Ausgangspunkt für die Arbeit “Wild Thing” war das Thema Notwendigkeit. Die Notwendigkeit von Musik zum Tanz, oder umgekehrt die Notwendigkeit von Tanz zu Musik.

Die zwei Kunstbereiche können ohne einander existieren, aber was bringt sie zusammen, wo ist der Verbindung oder Notwendigkeit zu Klang und Körper? Die Musik ist so gestaltet, dass sie zwei Situationen schafft: einerseits eine triviale (ein Zitat aus der Popmusik, in der Tanz nur eine Reaktion auf die Musik sein kann, egal ob bestätigend oder negierend), und anderseits eine Fläche (ein sehr reduziertes Klangmaterial aus regelmässigen Impulsen), die dem Tanz ermöglicht klanggestaltend in die Musik einzugreifen.

So ist die Musik nur sekundär das, was aus dem Lautsprecher kommt – die “eigentliche” Musik beginnt als raumakustisches Ereignis erst in der Wechselwirkung mit dem Tanz. Dabei sind Klangerzeuger (Lautsprecher) und der bewegten menschlichen Körper für die musikalische Gestaltung gleichwertig.

Die in Israel geborene Tänzerin und Choreografin Zufit Simon war zuletzt mit Meine Mischpuche im Festival Tanz im August in Berlin zu sehen. Ihre Arbeiten wurden international auf verschiedenen Festivals gezeigt.

Alexander Grebtschenko aus Bulgarien studierte bis 2002 Komposition an der Musikhochschule Freiburg. Mit dem Schwerpunkt auf elektroakustischer Musik arbeitet er international in vielen europäischen Ländern sowie in Kanada und den USA.
