Production Details / Press Releases

There are some facts and some possibilities.

Facts
6 years ago Kiana and Roham started their collaboration in Tehran.
2 years ago Roham decided to leave Berlin at the start of his studies and to go back to Iran, in search for another form of life.
They are in a new situation.
The absence of the form of life that the other is living.
Is it possible to be present in the other living experience?
A new process begins.
A third space of being together.
How does this space function?
It is dominated by other realities completely.
The internet was shut down in November due to the protests in Iran.
A shift in their process affecting them both individually and together.
Trying to understand the links between their personal and socio-political spaces. A cognitive space is created that is neither personal nor social anymore.
How do we get to know other layers of ourselves by these experiences?
Possibilities
There are several possibilities for this performance, some of which are more real than the others. But anyways they have all happened or will happen in future.

I
The grief of being human
A mortal creature, lonely by nature that seeks an illusion of being with others.
To preserve this illusion, they did not share their living space. Rather, they chose a symbiosis of two spaces.
They live in one while longing to experience the other.
This symbiosis is directly dependent on virtual reality.
Their quest is to understand the illusions they are accustomed to. The illusions we see, the illusions we make of ourselves.

II
Dominance
A hole in their communication channel transformed their experience of being and living. This gap created a new reality.
The constructed reality is unstable and out of control. Both in the “personal” space and in the “symbiotic” space
Personal space? But others define this space and its changes are out of control. “Personal” space is defined by the complex social relationships with others.
Between the personal space, the symbiotic space and the social space, there are different layers of domination;
Dance in the personal space
Presence and absence; the borders
Technology limitations

III
Third Space
We can get into each other’s space with a small electronic piece installed on the eye.
A very small piece that you experience severe but brief headaches as soon as it’s installed.
A state of weakness is felt in the body. Then an instant recognition, and everything disappears.
The pieces of reality ripple. Here, is not here.
Here is an unknown, hidden space. With hidden patterns
This space is an extract from all the experienced realities.

IV
A slow upgrade
As soon as we think that the reality of any space cannot continue, the third space appears and the universe with all its galaxies passes through the thought.
