Production Details / Press Releases

“Interlude” is a solo movement journey that extends over a dynamic landscape. The work is oriented in a practice-based approach to choreography, where the body in motion is the instigator for my urgency in creating a relationship between the emotional body and the atmosphere. Building and dissolving intensities of movement from the expression of an inner landscape, I work to manifest tensions that create and shift mood.

Based in Berlin, Emily Ranford works between Europe and Australia with collaborations in dance and visual art. Somatic practices fuel her interest in the human body and provide friction to her continual questioning of contemporary dance and contemporary culture. Graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2009, she has ongoing artistic relationships with artists in Australia including Brooke Stamp, Rebecca Jensen and Sarah Aiken. She received the danceWEB Scholarship in 2013 and relocated to Berlin where she works with artists Alexandra Pirici, Julian Weber, Felix Ott, Dmitry Paranyushkin, Indigo Dance, Boris Charmatz and Royal Opera. With support of the Berlin Senate she is excited to premier her work, “Fallback” in 2018.

Lisa Stewart aka Laguna Inc. is a multi-disciplinary artist working across sound, video, collage, installation, performance and live-art. Born in 1986 Melbourne, Australia, she is currently based between Berlin, Germany & Melbourne, Australia. Lisa, aka Laguna Inc. produces dreamy soundscapes from faraway lands using a mix of loops, beats, manipulated samples, field recordings, sound effects, and other found and original materials. Works span across hip-hop, electronic, world, relaxation, self-improvement and experimental sound.
