Production Details / Press Releases
This experimental, interactive solo work intentionally plays with the genre of Reality TV, (as it shows the unscripted actions of everyday people), and popular TED talk lectures. Using storytelling as an element of composition, the work is reshaped in real-time.
Choreographing today is experimenting with many fields simultaneously. This is what currently makes sense to my vision. JSR will integrate two solos in the structure of the work. “La fascinante deconstruccion de mi Camino”, and “Portrait of an Antihero”. Both created in 2018. The piece can’t be choreographed, it can only be performed.
The interplay between dance and spoken word will create a complex graph of multiple possibilities. A work that turns the audience into participants, while hosting them and engaging them in the question why, how and when events take place during the performance.
The Yo that rethinks and rebuilds itself permanently and the pain handled as costume, as a breathe, a curtain, an indomitable circumstance of life.
