NAH DRAN extended: Journeys | ada Studio in den Uferstudios

Production Details / Press Releases

Inspired by the words of Rainer Maria Rilke, “the only journey is the one within”, “To be c______ .” is a personal journey to be shared, with the subtext of “to be continued / completed / seen”.

The dance is an ongoing dialogue with one’s own being in the silence of space, with the voices in head and the surrounding. Through the process of dancing/ making/ preparing, it addresses an important question for Shiu – “How to continue” – in different aspects. The moment of dancing contains past, present, future all at once. It becomes a way of encountering the questions physically, and to share the experience / receive support through the witnesses / generate experience through the coexistence. Through tuning in, it is an invitation for the audience to experience a temporal and spatial transformation. A contemplative moment of being together.
