In ihrem Solo „all about nothing“ choreografiert Zufit Simon emotionale Gesten als reine Bewegung. Sie ermöglicht damit eine Distanz zu Bedeutung und Gefühlsebene, die nur durch den Betrachter komplementiert werden kann. Der Zuschauer selbst ist gefragt, die Collage von Bildern mit ganz persönlichen, emotionalen Bezügen und Erinnerungen zu füllen. „all about nothing“ ist der zweite Teil der Trilogie „un-emotional“, die auf Simons Recherche zur Körpersprache in Zusammenhang mit Gefühlsausdruck basiert: „never the less“ (Duett, 2013), „all about nothing“ (Solo, 2014) und „piece of something“ (Trio, 2014). ZUFIT SIMON
Performerin und Choreografin, in Israel geboren, absolvierte ihr Abitur mit Tanzabschluss und studierte zeitgenössischen Tanz an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (HfMDK) in Frankfurt am Main.
Sie gewann mit „fleischlos“ 2005 den 3. Preis der euro-scene Leipzig für das beste deutsche Tanzsolo, 2007 den Publikumspreis für „diminuendo2“ beim Vorort-Festival / Münster und den 3. Preis beim Internationalen Choreografen- wettbewerb in Hannover für „Meine Mischpuche“, Premiere im Rahmen von TANZ IM AUGUST. Ihre Arbeit wurde auf nationalen u. intern. Festivals gezeigt, wie z.B. Italien, Österreich, Tansania, Tschechien, Polen und Frankreich. Zufit Simon wurde für die Tanzplattform Deutschland 2012 mit der Produktion „Wild Thing“ ausgewählt, und zeigte 2014 auf der Tanzplattform Deutschland das choreografische Konzert „I LIKE TO MOVE IT“. Im Oktober 2015 eröffnete sie gemeinsam mit dem Regisseur Moritz Schönecker und der Produktion „Die Zofen“ die Spielzeit am Theaterhaus Jena. In der Spielzeit 2016/2017 kuratiert sie dort die Tanzreihe.
