Production Details / Press Releases
“Vogel” is a new solo series for female dancers choreographed by Christine Bonansea.
The space is set up as an emotional container. The contrast between the body and its environment evokes an emotional tension, questioning our sensitive and social relationship with the world. Our perception of the self is dramatically reflected when the condition of isolation provokes a radical attempt for escape. The space revealed by the lights and the density of sound will emphasize the scale and extreme tension that the body is trapped in and increase the tragic dimension of the inability to escape our human condition. However the body might be also a unique space where perception and creativity has the potential to develop… The work is inspired by Michel Foucault’s radio lecture “The utopian body”.
