Production Details / Press Releases

The common interest in being confronted with unpredictable situations brought together, the artists Corbusier and Felix Mathias Ott. After several sessions in a dance studio, where mutual love, respect and an artistic exchange was developed, they decided to start the collaboration “Les Imprédictibles, a duet between a human being and a cat. The dependencies, adaptations and alienations become a source of inspiration. The attempt of creating a moment of truth a goal to reach. Within that construction they will explore the unpredictability of their collaboration. The unfolding of their relationship becomes a choreographic architecture where the material can only be integrity.

Corbusier was born in Berlin in early 2017, half oriental, half sphinx origin. His effortless elegance brought him the name Corbusier. He got adopted at a young age by an artist and a philosopher, who awakened his interest in art and further made him confronting his own questions about life. Later on he was castrated to avoid distraction from this occupation. He lives a monk’s life, in total abstinence and he developed an appearance which is pure as glaze water and with a physicality like a Shaolin master.

Felix Mathias Ott was born in South Germany, but has been living and working in Berlin for 15 years. He initially studied stage design and later contemporary dance, context and choreography as part of the pilot program of HZT Berlin. Ott works as a performer and has been touring his own productions internationally since 2011. His personal creation and research is supported by the European network APAP – advancing performing arts project.
